Pizza Party!

We have decided to forego yearly birthday parties for our kids, but that doesn't mean they have to miss out on parties all together, right? So, before the weather got cold, and before school started, and before one of Evelynn's good friends moved to North Carolina, she had a pizza party. We made cute little pizza slice invitations, and invited a bunch of kids over to play outside.
First, the kids all made themselves a pizza (I made the dough, and then gave everyone a little ball of it on some parchment paper. Then they rolled it out and topped it, and I just slipped it right onto the pan. Easy as pie, haha. Get it? Pie? haha). Then, while they were baking,...
we drew with chalk...
we played with water balloons...
and we blew bubbles.

Then we ate pizza, popped popcorn, and stayed up late watching a movie before all the parents came.
I think Evelynn really enjoyed it. Mostly because she couldn't stop talking about it for weeks, and has already started planning her next party. Is this because she's five? Or maybe because she's a girl? Or is it because she's my girl?
