Dave took a long weekend to come visit the kids and I while we were visiting Utah this summer. We made sure to pack the weekend and had a lot of fun! Here is the condensed version.
Bowling is not my favorite activity, but how can I resist a place named Fat Cats? Actually, Dave likes bowling, and I had heard about these little ramp things for kids, so I thought it would be a fun family activity! Hooray! And it was! Hooray! Even I had fun! Hooray! Even though Evelynn almost bowled better than I did. Almost. Fat Cats was the nicest bowling alley I've ever been to. And it has a great set up for kids. So check it out.
In the afternoon, Dave and Owen went to hang out with the boys, while the girls had a tea party at The Grand America Hotel. Evelynn, her cousin Katie, Dave's sister Cher, my Mom, and I drove up to Salt Lake for a little girl time. It was fun to get dressed up and have a place to be girly and practice good manners. I think Evelynn's favorite part was having mint hot chocolate in her own tea pot. My favorite part was probably watching Evelynn. I love that girl.
Our anniversary also happened to be that weekend, so the kids played with their cousins while Dave and I went out to dinner at Tucanos Brazilian Grill (mmmhhh, I love that place), and shopped around a little. So, by the way, Happy Anniversary to us.
And, of course, what would a Sunday evening in Utah be without playing games with Cher and Scott? When we lived in Utah, many Sunday evenings were spent playing games with Dave's sister and brother-in-law, a tradition that Dave sorely misses, and continues to try to recreate.
On the way to the airport, we stopped in Pleasant Grove at Manilla Park (aka Discovery Park). It's a very challenging and creative park (and easy to get lost in). We climbed, spun, balanced, and ran around until it was time to grab lunch and say good bye. We missed Dave and it was so good to see him, even if it was only for a couple of days.

This may be a funny question, but are men allowed at Tea Time? I'm sure they are but it's probably much more enjoyable with just the ladies. Sounds like a lot of fun.
Loved the collages. Don't think I didn't notice that you put Dave's bottom as the center picture in the first collage. Pervert! :)
Well, there was a sign that said "No Men Allowed", but they would probably make an exception for Grant. Especially if he promises to keep his pinky up when sipping the tea.
And, yeah I noticed Dave's bum front and center after I posted the collage, but I'm too lazy to fix it. I just wanted to get the four month old pictures up there, so sorry about that.
