A little less fancy than Vanilla, being in a shopping center, and offering only cupcakes, but check out the crowd! Let this be a lesson on marketing for you. Sprinkles was on Oprah. And according to my friends, there is always a line outside.

What I got: 3 Cupcakes, $3.25 each (I would have gotten more, but I had just eaten a bunch of baby cupcakes the day before, and I feel like I should at least pretend that I have some restraint.).

What I learned: Know what you want before you go. It's a little reminiscent of the soup nazi inside. Flavors are available online. Sprinkles Cupcake Mixes are also available at Williams-Sonoma.

Simple brown boxes, cute sticker, and wooden forks. I love it. And apparently I'm not the only one. To get an individual box for one cupcake, it was $1.75 more. Still, $5 for an adorable, edible birthday/get well/thinking of you gift? It's not exactly a terrible idea.

Here's what's inside:

Coconut (belgian dark chocolate cake and coconut cream cheese frosting. what? cream cheese frosting? thank you Sprinkles! for making a cupcake with cream cheese frosting that I not only liked, but loved!)

Black and White (belgian dark chocolate with vanilla frosting. simple. safe.)

Lemon (lemon cake with lemon-vanilla frosting and Sprinkles signature dots on top. the cake didn't have the lemon kick I was hoping for, but to it's credit, it was light and refreshing. the frosting was perfect. not too thick, not too thin, and the perfect balance of vanilla, lemon, sweet, and sour. in fact, I would like some right now. thank you.)

And holding spot number four? a tightly balled bunch of tissue paper.
