Wii Gave In...

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you had a good holiday! We had an unexpectedly bountiful Christmas morning...
Before Christmas, we heard that the Nintendo Wii video game console was unusually hard to find - not impossible, just not easy to come by. Of course, being the parsimonious people we are, we thought there would be little risk in doing some homework, obtaining a console and then reselling it for a little extra Christmas cash. After about a week of phone calls, I found the last system that had just arrived in a shipment. The store said they would hold it, and a great neighbor came over to watch my kids and let me borrow her car, so I could run and get it. Yay! We got a Wii! We listed the Wii on ebay with the other millions, and... it didn't sell. I'm pretty sure it was the only one in history that didn't sell. Seriously, every other Wii on ebay was selling. Just not ours - for some reason. I guess it was just meant for us. Well, at least that's what temptation was telling us, while we had an extremely hard to find and extremely fun to play video game system sitting in our bedroom. We thought about taking it back for a minute, and then Dave decided to make a few other adjustments in his personal budget to buy it for us. Merry Christmas to us!
I got Dave a couple of other things...

And he also got me a couple of pairs of shoes...

So much for parsimonious.

How fun!!!! Nate likes the bowling game (we only played it once at the Seda's though) I love that you always use big words that I have to look up in the dictionary. Way to make me smarter simply by meandering through your blog. Here is a time saver for the rest of us mere mortals:
Parsimonious= frugal
I love your enthusiasm on the shoes too! So cute!
Love ya, Stace
