Surely Someone's Fairytale

I love Halloween! I just love dressing up. When I was a kid, I wanted to be an actress, and I think it's because I really love pretending. Disneyland? Love it. Always have, always will. (Don't worry, I'll make it to Disney World some day) I also love photography and my kids! So, what better way to bring them all together than to get my kids all dressed up and go take their pictures! I usually like to do this before Halloween, so I can send a cute greeting out to everyone, but this year it ended up on Halloween, and the only place I have to show off is here on my blog. So, here you are again. Lucky you! Always getting to see my photos. Feels kind of like winning the lottery, doesn't it?

My friend Amy happened to call me yesterday before I headed out to do the photos and got in on the shoot. Here are a couple shots of her girls. You may be able to see more on her website (click here or over on the right). I don't know if she's going to put any up or not. Thanks to her for chasing Owen and keeping him off the roof, helping the kids with their smiles, and being the genius behind the kissing photo above.

Those pictures are so adorable! You are a great photographer. What setting do you have your camera on? Portrait? You picked the perfect place to shoot too. It looks like a castle wall.

cute! I love your kids costumes...what a adorable idea. That location looks like such a great place to shoot. I especially love the lighting of the one of mia in the brick alcove. There all so cute!

I love the pictures you look of your kids and Amy's girls. Wow, you did a great job. What a fun idea. I loved the theme of the Princess and the Frog too.

Next year we'll have to go before Halloween, so we can go at a time with better lighting.

Thanks everyone! And the setting I used was just an auto setting with no flash. I really need to practice more with my manual settings on this camera, but in any case, the key is just to turn off the flash.
