A friend of mine is serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kiev, Ukraine (well, I don't think he's actually in Kiev, but in the area) - speaking Russian*. He writes some great emails with pictures every week (almost). And he has a great Heather (who happens to be one of my best friends) who created a blog for him and posts his emails and pictures there. I think it's a great blog. I am adding a link to it below and over on my list. Feel free to check it out if:
- you are thinking about serving a mission and want to know how to write good letters home
- you served a mission and want to reminisce some of your silly old mission antics
- you didn't serve a mission, but always wanted to know what silly old antics missionaries in Kiev were up to
- you want to know more about the growth of the church and missionary work in Kiev
- etc, etc, etc
Estimated Completion September 2009
*correction: Elder Hokanson speaks Ukrainian. Heather served in Donetsk Ukraine and learned Russian. I always mix them up.

Hey, Brigham's parents are going to be mission presidents in one of the Ukranian missions. They won't know which one for a few weeks, but I'll let you know when I find out (since I am sure you are now dying to find out).
Awww! Thanks for the shout out!
One tiny correction - he speaks Ukrainian. :)
Love ya!
I couldn't remember which one of you spoke Russian, and which one spoke Ukrainian. I thought I had it right. I should have asked Dave. Oh well, I'll change it... prosti menya. :)
