The Cut

Well, we did it. Well, I did it. I cut Evelynn's hair. The other night while she was watching The Santa Clause, I pulled out the scissors and chop chop chop. It was the first time I have cut her hair in probably three years at least (wait, she's only three). It was really long and pretty, but I was ready for a change, and she doesn't care. Well, actually I am a little concerned at how interested she was in the cutting of the hair. For Chrismas she got a Play-Doh Pet Shop where the pets grow play-doh hair and she cuts it, so she has already been "cutting" my hair with the play scissors in her doctor kit. I'll just have to make sure I turn my scissor radar on, and all scissors stay out of reach for a while. I think it turned out pretty well for zero experience. I guess that's not true. I have buzzed all my brothers' hair at least once I think, and Dave's once, and Owen's once, and cut Evie's baby hair once. So, it wasn't my first time cutting hair, but it was the first time it really made a difference, and I don't know if it was a great idea (there's probably a reason why I only cut everyone's hair once). It's a lot shorter than I had planned, and it's pretty uneven, so I'll be doing some touch ups this week, but it's cute. It helps that she's a cute girl, so probably any hair cut would look good.Who needs beauty school? Just get a three year old.
Adult women cry after a cut like this... not Evie!
Oh wait...
Okay, just kidding!
